Yes, I can agree on this. Ultra collectors editions are cool and so, but I don't live in a museum and have a limited space to display or even store the stuff. I'm always more happy with artbooks and soundtrack, because they not so much space consuming than some figurines and statues.

The last collectors edition I bought was Phoenix Point. No disc in that either. It's also became an Epic exclusive, so I refuse to play it! Without the actual game these just feel like a pointless box of (not very cheap) tat. From now on without a physical copy of the game in whatever form, then I'm not backing.

Considering all games more or less from now on will be "online services" where they just turn off the servers when they feel like they can... Not sure you should be holding your breath for that. Not saying its ok, i fucking hate the way thats going. The least they could do is remove the DRM/online requirement when they stop supporting the game so people can still access what they paid for. Non the less that seems to be the direction things are going sadly.

Yes, many high end collectible statues now have magnetic parts, this allows for some swapping of modular pieces to change the display/pose. example: the humongous Prime1 Studio statues.

Im old AF Ive played fallout 1&2 prob 20 times each since launch. Having the wasteland games has given me a reason to live during the q. These devs know what an old man loves, these are even better than the original. They feel like old fallout and new XCOM. Amazing amazing games for my demographic!!!!

I mean the writing is on the wall. CDs are going out. What’s physical about them too, the data is digital, the storage is as physical as your computer onto which you download the game.

@@nosferatu5 Ridiculous. CDs are are so cheap to produce that they aren't "going out" for a while. Who cares if the data is digital? The point is that YOU own that data. The installer isn't locked away on some server you access through an installer client. It's YOURS forever. It has physical value and can be reinstalled at will.

@blarbful CDs are on their way out no matter how much you deny it. What do you want, a CD with the Steam data on it? If it's a Steam game there's no way to do physical copies. And a non-steam executable is just asking for piracy.

@@ObiWanBillKenobi actually didn't borderlands have some kind of addition thing where they cost like $200 and something for just the big chest thing and all those little side pieces. I mean they do the special thing all the time but you're buying pretty much the props not the game I don't even know if the game came with the collector's edition at all it might have but I've seen other games be sold separately to the collector's edition stuff kind of like oh say fallout 76. And some more stuff maybe Skyrim I think they did something promotional before the game came out and then the game was separate or you could get whatever it was separate I don't know it's been a while.

Yes, this is a cool looking collector's Edition and so, BUT OH MY GOD YOU HAVE A COPY OF DRAKKHEN SITTING ON YOUR SHELF!! PLEASE PLAY IT FOR THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME AND DO A REVIEW OF IT. Drakkhen is one of my all time favorite, if not top 3 (Amiga) games. It would be such a delight to see a (I hope for a positive) review on LGR of this Game.

The diorama background thing would make for a great dungeon master screen also, it would drive me nuts that it looks like the tail isn't weathered the same as the body. It looks brighter. If you cared to, you could just dab some black acrylic paint all over it then wipe off as much as possible. It does a good job of getting that oily weathered look. And could make for a fun little video to boot :P
