Quranic facts about natural phenomena have proved 100 percent correct although Qur'an is not a book of Science. Qur'an says' unlearned or ill educated person can never match the learned or knowkegeable people . No where Qur'an has put ban on modern or scientific education. Hoodbhoy going against imam ghazali looks more likely to be personal, because hoodbhoy belongs to ismaili shia family and ghazali is a nightmare for ismaili batinis. Ghazali ideologically crushed batini who are actually ismailis. So I think there is some personal issue here rather than intellectual. Because intellectually ghazali finished philosophers and ismaili batinis. Thanks to Ibn rushd he saved philosophers or else their philosophy was debunked by ghazali.

I have spent most of my life in the west and have a professional science degree. Yes, there are a lot of Indians working in the western world in good position. Having said that, I would like to mention here based on my personal observations and one doesn't necessarily have to agree with me since this is my experience/observation. Firstly, the population of India is almost 7 times higher than Pakistan. Secondly, Indians can go any length to please the bosses by being submissive. Last but not the least, the culture. A practicing Muslim will not drink liquor and personally I avoid going to the Christmas parties, since I will be hesitant sitting on a table where alcohol is being served. But for Indians, this is not a barrier, accordingly, they integrate well with the bosses in order to make their way up

Dr. Saheb, Islam has nothing to do with Muslim’s lacking in scientific field. Have any one of you in person visited Pakistan village elementary schools. Since Bhutto we have lowest and poor degree teachers. They come and leave to school as he/she wishes. Poor quality education in our schools totally isolated us from innovation. Sir, I never came to Chemistry or Biology and give any seminars or joint research.
