Mate, i hate to break it to you, but I think at 3:19 you just dismissed Dewitt from Xcom lol. Dismiss from that menu means he is gone for good lol, you just fired him. If you want to just clear him from this mission, you should use "clear unit" from the menu one level back, the main mission menu , you can see the option "clear unit" at 3:07
