Hey Pest, had an idea for the Hardcore rules. What if you can only use a Scav when you get the Scav Case hideout upgrade and have the required item. You must delete the item in order to do the scav run so it's like you're the scav doing the case. Bonus if you want to have each item dictate a better map. i.e Factor < Customs for scav Love the series, and remember, Stay ahead of yourself mate.

Pest, never apologize for getting discouraged at Tarkov man. Even normal Tarkov is super hard and frustrating, hard core is insane and such a pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work man!

This is the best tarkov I see. Every win is so much sweeter and everything weighs so much more. I would def choose backpack over rig. everyone you kill has a rig, but it's a pain in the ass to find a decent bag especially that you find good loot before finding one

I enjoy Hardcore because it means more. As Pest says, he doesn't really care when he dies on his main. It hurts when he dies with a bunch of stuff he needs on hardcore, and getting out with a bunch of tasks done and items needed is awesome.

i wish you could "mark for collection" several items at once. kinda like how the "find in raid" checkmark appears on the left, maybe make a star appear on the right. it would be SO helpful for a hardcore playthrough.

really like hardcore because we get to see you use a wide variety of equipment you normaly don't see in action. That makes it very interesting because gear actually 'means' something and we see "bad" equipment work.

3.48 The reason i watch a hardcore run is mainly to see habits you use to get better at tarkov normally, and when you see a pro pushed against unfravorable odds you see the talent come out and do's and don't to watch out for :)

Thanks Pestily for reminding me of Power Thirst by Picnic face. One of my teachers in college was a member of that group who helped teach how to use After effects which they used to make that vid. Random fact adjacent to them. The trailer for Hobo with a Shotgun which showed the main character getting his teeth knocked out inside a submarine. This was filmed in Halifax, NS inside a docked submarine, the dental dummy they used was provided by a friend of the group's dad who was a dentist at the time and he was the one who got to dress up like a doctor and knock the teeth out. Pest you asked if anyone is using threads, the answer ive seen so far is quite frequently. Its dropped off some since 100 million something in the first week, but it was also incomplete. I think more interest will come as features do. The feature you listed is now available. I always check a persons feed before following.

Per your question early on, essentially why do we enjoy hardcore series: Suffering? Absolutely not. You having a bad time = me a viewer having a bad time, that's not what I'm here for. Hardcore feels like "how Tarkov was meant to be played" in a weird ideal world, where the devs weren't like "if we do it like this, nobody will play the game", it's the brutal survival/permadeath almost roguelike experience of playing Tarkov without cash to help plug every gap in progression. Plus watching you have to use a variety of weapons and tactics and fighting in weird places that aren't exclusively based on getting a quest done is such a jolt of variety compared to just about all Tarkov content out there. Like, right now, you're in the theatre because you need food. I looked in to the theatre once and have never been back to it because why would I? Good stuff.

The newer aggressive scavs are going to make hardcore a bit harder. I got jumped by a group of 4 on Woods the other day, saw one standing there alone and killed him and suddenly 3 more charged me, was doing bolt action tasks and couldn't keep up with them and died.

That woods raid was absolute peak Tarkov. Given a heavy bleed by scav overspray, then kill the only PMC in tarkov who didn't load in with a tourniquet.

I enjoy watching Hardcore because of the difficulty. Pestily has so many hours in the base game him playing without several dozen handicaps just isn’t fun to watch. Hardcore requires a lot of thought and planning from him and feels really engaging.

I cant speak for everybody, but i bet there are more people like me who just think that this is the way this game should work for everybody ... I really enjoy that there are multiple ways to get progression, other than flea ..... barter, crafting and gear progression with trader lvls just feels a lot less meaningfull with fleemarket and traders LOADED with stuff .... Im not fully against traders but they should only give some few options not like this overload of stuff I enjoy watching you embrace the days before tarkov got mainstream and was >imo< ruined by the flee market .... So many game changes and devv time sinked into a system that has so many downsides .... Destroyinng the ability of streamer communitys to just trade at will bc of rmt aso .... so many bad decisions came from the flea that it hurts more than it benefits the game ... I still hope they will implement a tarkov mode that resembles the hardcore game you play and i fell in love with ...

To answer why I like watching HC its because its more close to my play style compared to the raid series. I'm not the best at generating cash so I can't really afford real kits early game and often don't get lvl 15 until like a month+ into wioe so I can't even flea most things. Often I'm just using what I see on the ground and can grt from L1 traders!
