I have to say this is his best hardcore so far... It is my favorite series, but most of the time: He gets a gun, is shooting everyone, gets out and has insane gear. This time it is much harder and i love it. Not because he is suffering or something like that, it is just more relatable!

@pestily afaik the reason the wall disappears is because they were doing ram optimizations. Objects behind the player are supposed to unload to save RAM and I think they changed the qualifications for detecting if you can see things and it causes some big objects (such as doors or boxes) to disappear while they are still on your player screen because the game thinks you can't see that object and is trying to optimize the game.

@41:20 it is a method to help performance. Seeing through the door is more of a bug from the map. So our map was made, they went in, did the work for the FPS bump, but have a bug in it. Tons are of these are normally and they get cleaned up over time. You rather have these, then have none. Cause if iyou got none, you did your mapping wrong

Flea Market is literally why I'm still playing the game. Being a newbie able to buy those rare materials from it feels amazing. Because if it didn't existed, I'd have immediately extracted from every raid where I got this one item I need for the hideout. Instead, I greed, knowing that whatever junk I don't need, I can still take it, sell it, and trade that money for the components I need. As a new player, I love the "found in raid" thing. I think that it's peak game design tbh. Simple, effective, works, cool. Otherwise, if flea market didn't exist: I'd have to be a streamer to play the game.

Huge fan of 13.5. I'm dying a bunch, of course, but I'm not getting head/eyes from invisible players 3 games in a row. I actually like all the changes so far, its hard, but you have an opportunity to learn/improve. For the first time in a while I feel like I can recommend it, not just as an interesting project, but also as a great experience.

The backlash would be too much for the game to survive. The wipe brought hype, but I think the game is on life support with the hacker problems. A lot of friends that used to play refuse to play because they believe every lobby has a hacker.

For anyone curious about rocket science, it's difficult because of a lot of changing variables that you need to account for. The heaviest part of the rocket is the fuel it's bringing along, so you need to calculate the changing weight of the fuel as you burn it to calculate trajectory. Then you also need to take into account the change in gravity as you move further away from Earth, along with the rotation of the Earth itself applying a force on the rocket. On top of that, you need to account for the actual speed and velocity of the Earth and your target destination, as both of those are changing as well. TL;DR: A lot of really hard calculus and physics.

On lighthouse and streets there are so many items, that could be replaced by loot. Backpacks, Bike Helmets with real helmets, Jackets with scavvests. Some Decorations could be replaced by streamer items valuables. Like Clock, TeddieBear, Masks. Allmost all containers should be interactable, crates, suitcases, lugage. Replace dufflebags with actual lootable bags. This would enrich the world with map interactions and increase performance on the maps.

As always great content from Pestily, love watching the hardcore seasons only got into them from season 8 I think, watched all the raid seasons from start , only thing is Pestily gets farther then I do just playing normal. the highest I got in any wipe was about level 40. Giving this wipe a rest, I Have played Tarkov from about Xmas 2018 or 2019 but pc crashed just before wipe and haven't reloaded it so will restart playing after next wipe in the new year , but still need my Tarkov fix so will keep watching Hardcore and the raid till then.

Listen, I feel like Arena is prolly going to be for those COD player types. But what I feel like could help slow down firefights and engagements is make ammunition very rare, or at least the high-tier AP ammo, and I mean really rare, to the point where getting 10 rounds is amazing, so you’re forced to use lesser quality ammunition, with that, when you do get your hands on high-tier ammunition, you’d rather fire in semi-auto to conserve ammo. Just an idea I had while thinking about slowing down firefights more.

Ever since the flashlight bug fix last wipe it seems like the doors have been weird. They seem to not render when you are going through them, causing stuff like being able to see through them at the right angle like you found. It seems to be most noticeable on the factory doors. Idk maybe I could be wrong though.

The hunt is nice and all but some of us don't have the time to play enough to actually find everything that we need to progress throughout a wipe. People who prefer not to use it don't have to but if they got rid of it I'd actually just stop playing altogether. It wouldn't be worth it for how much you can realistically progress in the amount of play time I can get in.

What's nice about flea is that it makes things that you otherwise don't have a use for (or plan on using) still exciting to find rather than just be 'sell to trader trash.' Those other items can now fund the items you do need, rather than just sit in your stash as roubles rotting because they weren't what you needed. Obviously this comes down to personal preference, and playing without flea by choice is just as valid as playing with it, but I do think it adds an element to the game that not using flea doessn't have, just like not using flea will add that element of hunting for items. Each have pros and cons.

Appreciate the series, but weird thing is your videos are the only ones that do not reset the placement of the video on ad return. Meaning that the video does not roll back 1-2 seconds before the ad started so when it comes back from the ad it's synced up again. It's jarring to see you looting something then going to ad only for the video showing you getting food in a different container.

to throw my hat in the great debate on what style the game should take....i have been playing since end of 2017. the only reason i went EOD after a few months is because i wanted to support them in their path to making Tarkov an open world as was the original intent. I still hope they plan on doing that. I am not looking forward to still playing the current iteration of raid extract raid extract raid extract which does lead to nothing but pvp and less about overall survival unless you are playing with the "hardcore" ruleset.

queue/load times is the only thing needed for the casual player base to get more involved in this game. I know myself personally will get hyped to play the game from some clips from streams but will be completely over it after queuing maybe twice.. being able to get murked in raid but hop right back in is the best possible thing that can happen to this game rn.

If it's not 10k a slot you shouldn't pick it up. Gets so boring early wipe is my favorite not because of the shitty crazy antics, but because looting matters.

I played before the flea market. The one thing that I would not go back to is endless farming runs for quest keys. Being able to just buy most of the necessary keys has made the questing in this game feel so much smoother. It affected gameplay as well. At least one of the players on factory was always a naked guy rushing the lockers, essentially removing one player from the game. I'm all for experimenting with limiting the flea market, heck, I wouldn't mind removing all ammo and armors... But removing the flea completely? Dealbreaker.
