Ресторан открыл в 1891 г. Степан Васильевич Крынкин. Располагался он на самом гребне Воробьевых гор.
В 1903-1904 гг. было построено новое здание по проекту арх. И. А. Иванова-Шица. Открытие подгадали к освящению Воробьёвского резервуара со смотровой площадкой, которое состоялось 25 сентября 1904 года.
Терраса ресторана была оснащена подзорными трубами и имела 4 уровня для посетителей. Ресторан и террасы освещались электрическим светом. Для этого была построена собственная электростанция.........
Stepan Krynkin, born in the village of Vorobyovo, built a restaurant with an outdoor terrace on Sparrow Hills. Krynkin's Restaurant was celebrated for its fresh vegetables and strawberries, which grew almost year-round in a greenhouse right next to the establishment.
In the Krynkin restaurant, and nowhere else, one could taste the Pyshkinsky cucumbers, which were grown in the Pyshkinsky gardens not far from the restaurant.The recipe for the preservation of Pyshkinsky cucumbers has been preserved: the barrels with pickled cucumbers were tightly closed and rolled along the decks into the Moskva River. There, at the bottom, they lay on demand. The unique natural refrigerator kept the temperature of + 4 degrees all year round, providing the contents of oak barrels with increased crunch and amazing taste.
