suzie ...they can still bite....it’s a nasty bruising pinch and it can break the skin. They prefer to spit or kick. My neighbors have them and they call me to help them with them since I have large stock.

I will answer you. Males are easier. Have all same sex unless you have two seperate housings. They wanna breed 24/7. They eat a lot of vegetation but there is a lot that is poisonous to them as well. You can go online to find out a list of things that are bad for them. They really don’t require vet attention as long as you have a nice clean place and watch over your herd. They must always hv access to water, shelter, hay and a small amount of supplemental pellets each day for them to survive. They are livestock. They really don’t need people messing with them all the time. They all hv different personalities. Some like people, some don’t. Quite frankly, I don’t like people either.😜

Firstly you should NOT chase alpacas around like that not only will it scare them but you could get hurt as they won’t hesitate to kick, spit or trample you. With the food I would also suggest putting it in bins or tubs as alpacas won’t eat the stalks of the lucerne hay and the stalks will rot bringing unneeded pests. Alpacas aren’t just lawn mowers, yes will will eat grass but they require a proper diet of hay, grass, grains etc. I’m glad that you did have the three alpacas and for acres you should have no more than 6 alpacas on one Acre of land.

I sure wish I could send you Photos. I just bought a 4 mo old pair for breeding. Stanley is such a sweet loving clown and Diva is well....a DIVA! She spits and gives hairy eyeball looks and tosses her hair and rolls her eyes. LOL They are in a corral with my Jenny ( a 9 m/o donkey ) Jenny is stubborn and wont come until we are taking the alpacas to the pastures, out the big gate..... then she comes galloping to join ! Diva ONLY likes human toddlers, everyone else is beneath her!

I don't know if this is the case with her, but my alpacas came with registered names, so I couldn't change them unless I wanted to reregister them. Mine are all great names - Cooter, Donovan, Fintan and Anthony! They are WONDERFUL!

Peoples republic of Congo was a colony, so most black people here have their roots over there. I feel there is much more racism and distrust towards Muslims from North Africa and the Middle East than central Africans. I think this is true for most of Europe.
