My 16-year-old cat has been getting Solensia injections for a little over a year and has been doing great on them. I had noticed she was moving more cautiously and more tentative to jump up and get down from heights, but since starting the injections, she is much more active and playful again. She’s back to acting like a younger cat, lots of running and playing.

Thank you for covering this. If regulators weren’t so controlled by corporations, this drug would have been withdrawn in its first year of release. It needs to be withdrawn now.

Commenting for the algorithm. Look what the vet said, "he'd wait five years before giving his pet a new drug."

I lost my cat Sage in just 6 days after his first injection. Within three days of the injection, he had lost his sight and could barely hear, he no longer responded to my voice or seemed to know where he was and by the sixth day, he could barely walk. I frantically emailed the veterinarian repeatedly and it got to the point where she would only, call me because it didn’t seem that she wanted anything in writing via email communication because I believe she caught on that the drug she injected was what was causing my cat’s terrifying decline. I have videos showing how he moved and behaved before and after the injection. On the sixth night, he passed away in his sleep. The vet did not warn me about any side effects, except for some inflammation at the injection site and I did not find the Facebook pages for Solensia and Librela warning people of the dangers of drugs until he was already gone.

My cat became fully paralysed within days of the 3rd shot. There were earlier indications that something was going wrong but nobody connected it to the medication because it's a "wonder drug without side effects". If you hear these words coming from your vet, you know they have done no research into it. This medication works differently to other medications - it binds to a protein in the body called nerve growth factor which is throughout many systems. This means that an adverse effect may not necessarily happen immediately - it can happen immediately, but it could happen later.

Boa noite. No Brasil, e imagino que em outros países, ocorra algo semelhante: a bula disponibilizada simplesmente não é tão completa em termos de informações quanto às publicadas nos EUA, Canadá e Europa. Na verdade nem temos acesso a uma bula! Normalmente o veterinário prepara a seringa e aplica no animal.

I think this is what killed my cat. He was dealing with arthritis and became lame. In less than a year he had multiple seizures and had to be euthanized. He died this past January. I’m utterly heartbroken. Solensia is likely the reason that caused his rapid decline. Pls don’t use this drug

😂. As well as ‘safe and effective’, ‘take this very seriously’, ‘closely monitoring’ and spend mega bucks on marketing and very little on researching the safety and effectiveness before telling people it’s safe and effective.

It’s and NGF disruptor
@catlifechannel3886Ай бұрын
It’s not mRNA. It is a monoclonal antibody (synthetic) that suppresses Nerve Growth Factor (NGF). NGF affects many systems in the body, not just joints, which may explain why it’s having catastrophic results on so many cats.

We have had cats n dogs for decades. We keep them safe but dont do this extensive medical care late in life. Its silly n here proven dangerous.

Not covered in this segment is the massive financial incentives given to vets for every dose administered.

My cat had this shot 3 months ago. She is doing very well I have an amazing vet, but I seriously doubt any vet would fail to educate a client. Also don't these poor dear hearted pet parents know how to Google things? My cat felt great and had no side affects. I believe they want their babies to be out of pain so badly they ignore anything that contradicts the prospect of their baby being out of pain. Of course instinctively you shouldn't assume it's okay to continue the next dose of something without stepping back and observing them for a while. Like any drug, it's implied any person's or animal's system may not agree with a drug. That goes with literally everything we do in life.

@@msa110 Do you Google the name of every single drug and medication your veterinarian provides your pet with? I find that a little bit difficult to believe. My vet told me that the ONLY side effect was slight irritation at the injection site and if you look at the Facebook pages that we have posted for both Solensia and Librela you can see all the true side effects and daily deaths with your own eyes. It wasn’t a coincidence that my veterinarian finally realized after bothering to do their own research that the side effects I was reporting within 72 hours of my cat receiving the injection was directly connected to Solensia which is why she then would only communicate with me by phone. She didn’t want any further communication to be in writing.

If you do a search, it mainly comes up with promotional material. Vets have been told it’s a ‘miracle drug with no side effects other than some skin issues’. The ‘skin issues’ are so severe that photos of them get a ‘graphic’ warning. The product inserts fail to list the large number of known side effects, which include de@thh. The drug was tested on a very small number of cats.
