As you mentioned, it cost around 2L, to get him to Heathrow airport. Around 500 pounds to clear from customs. Thanks much for the help.

I am planning to study abroad, after 6 months of me settling there i think of bringing my pet dog ( rottweiler) to the UK as my pet will need me as i need him, can you tell me if its a good idea? His age is 7 years old

I would stronly reccomend bringing your dog to UK. Firstly after 7 years your dog will find it extremely difficult to cope up without you. Also bringing dog to UK is difficult but relocating back to India if there is a need is not difficult. From weather perspective also I dont think there is an issue in adjusting, also I have noticed dogs having a long life span in UK so you should definately consider bringing him to UK.

It really depends on the pet and how it is trained. Apart from few extreme harsh days it is possible to walk the pet and let it do its job.

However being mindful of the fact that ship would take much longer to make the journey it may not be good for the pet. Better would be to take quotes from multiple companies and take an informed decision.

Yes there is no restriction in bringing in Indies. Some airlines have restrictions on snub nosed dogs and Indies dont fall in that category.

Hello, getting a pet friendly apartment in London can be very tricky. Most of the apartment complexes have pets in hate list and the entire block would not allow you to keep pets. Fortunately some apartments do allow pets (like mine) and in those you will not have any issues. Pee is generally not a problem in gardens, roads etc and no-one objects. For poop you need to carry poop bags and clean up immediately, whether it's garden, road or park. There are designated poop bins on the road where you may dispose them. At home candy is toilet trained and he releives himself in the bathroom if needed. Overall once you find a pet friendly house pee or poop is not an issue till you clean up. All the best!
