I think he was sort of possessed by whatever spirit inhabited the place to tell Louis the secret. The book, which is even better than the movie by the way, sort of hints at that. The same way the burial ground caused Church to run out in the road and get hit by that Orinco truck and and the same way it caused that Orinco trucker to speed and run over Gage.

Mi'kmaq native from Eskasoni. The "k" sounds like a "G" and the "q "is silent Mik-maw is how we pronounce it, mic mac isn't right but a joke here. Fun fact we invented the hockey stick.
