There’s something so iconic about Neil & Chris standing in that position. They’ve come full circle since West End Girls. To still have the ability to create something like A New Bohemia at this point is remarkable.

This is not a song , it is a monument. Pet Shop Boys are turning 40 this year and so am I , 36 as a Pethead since the very first time I saw the videos for "Heart " " It's a sin " ... I was a very little child who was just shockingly amazed by the beauty of the songs and the imagery ...this video takes me right back there. I can say that "Nonetheless " is arguably my favourite album since "Behaviour " . This is a very special year for me and I'm happy Neil & Chris are still with me as they've always been . Xx

My Dear Neil-As a surviving member of Les Petites Bon Bons, no greater homage to our moment. We refused to be invisible and live in shame for the comfort of others-we would be seen. We asked for nothing, gave everything away, broke through the wall and walked away. The tears will not stop-for good times so long gone, for dead friends and the change we wrought, for the sheer stunning beauty of your tribute. I’m still here, Neil. We’re both still here. One of their best songs and videos for many years, beautiful and elegant and tinged with sadness like so much of their best work. Its tough to see them getting old. I'm 51 and remember endlessly listening to Please, Disco and Actually. imported Cassette remixes on the top deck of double decker Edinburgh buses in the 80s going to work. Walkman first then bought them all again for Sony Discman. I still listen to these albums today. Pet Shop Boys are the only consistent music in my life. When my daughter was born, I got the Yes album, having stopped listening to the newer stuff years before. I now had a hi-res portable music player holding everything I had in my collection in physical. If only 16 year old me could see this! My daughter was born on a rainy night. I remember holding my firstborn by the window as it poured down outside. Wife exhausted and asleep. I had only listened to the album once through I think. When I heard "Did You See Me Coming" I was utterly blown away. Every word fit the moment. This is the brilliance of this band. Ambiguity. On the surface the song is about two people meeting at a bar. But their lyrics were so clever. Did you see me coming? Was I that obvious? For all of a sudden there were just two of us The night we met was cold and wet I needed a drink or two I saw you standing there and I knew I'd love to be loved by you You don't need the DNA to find the proof Then and there my life made sense You were the evidence I'm not superstitious or really religious Just "to thyself be true" But now I think I'm starting to believe in fate because it delivered you

Many of my old friends have grown bored of helping me out, rather than partying and they have stopped calling back. So I watch the world from my living room and sigh a lot. This song really hits home because of my Czech /Bohemian ancestry. I love the Pet Shop Boys. Relevant, tender, and melodic songs that make the grieving a little smoother. To see these other people I don't know commenting with similar feelings, makes the world seem less lonely.

Living every day brings both joy and unhappiness. I see the past and the future the same way. Growing old hurts. Financial and health issues arise. People that we're close to become sick and die. Sometimes, it feels we're just living to survive.

@mostevokish Such a beautiful message. Chinese think that life is best lived if you encounter 5 flavours: sweet, sour, bitterness, spicy. You are in bitterness but it will change like the ebb and flow of the ocean. Tomorrow, try a small, sweet day 🌻. If you cannot go outside, open one window. ❤🌿

Esta canción es el canto del cisne de los Pet Shop Boys: melancolía agridulce y escenas de un pasado que se aleja... Siempre maravillosos en ese punto de elegancia, talento y nostalgia.

Their music and words are just so enchanting, Neil’s delivery of the song just puts the finishing touches to another master piece. I’m searching my brain for another consistently great artist or band, and tbh I can’t think of anyone. ABBA is up there somewhere, and a few others like Erasure, Depeche Mode, but PSB are way out there right on top. I loved them the first time I heard them, I saw them in 1996, and I’m so glad I did. They’ve never really aged, their music is as fresh as it’s always been. Thank you Chris and Neil for sharing your gifts of great music and brilliant words, with the world! I’m glad you found each other and we found you. ❤

So many beautiful memories of PSB. Being 16 and second row at my first concert Performance, having relationships and taking my partners to PSB, finding their lyrics feeling like friends in tough moments, putting my daughters in 'pet shop baby' grows. They've always been a wonderful constant in my life. If I were a stick of rock, I'd have PSB running through me. At 48 now, I cannot wait to see you Saturday in Birmingham ❤❤
