Neil once said: It was the worst television appearance we ever did in our entire life. It was The Euro Tube. We opened the whole show with 'West End girls' and I had to sing live, and it was fine. We then had to wait two hours, during which time I drank four pints of beer, then I had to sing 'Tonight is forever'. You have never heard anything worse in your entire life. You know when someone sings on the television and you say, 'wow, she really can't sing'. This was my, 'wow, he really really can't sing'. And during the drum break in the middle I couldn't think of anything to do, so I just turned my back on the camera. I thought they could film Chris."

I miss the "homemade" quality this video has--how normal the people dancing look, the guy walking in front of the camera at 1:05. Everything is so overproduced today. Love the quote you posted--Neil's definitely too hard on himself, this performance is much better than a lot of other musicians I've seen and the interview is cute.

@handsomedevil98: Neil was born in North Shields which is where the river Tyne meets the sea in Northumberland, he is a Geordie but doesn't have much of an accent. Living in London may of made him lose the accent. PSB were great musicians, so are Duran Duran btw.

I think his voice is fine-the sound is a bit dodgy in places-Not one out of Morrissey, Neil Tennant,Nico, John Lydon, Ian Brown, Bernard Sumner, etc etc would make it through the 1st audition of Pop Idol, and theyre probably some of the most distinctive voices of the last 30 years.

Hello! I hope someone can help me with my search. There was a video of a live rare performance of PSB Opportunities and I'm confident this was the venue and the same clothes. Chris wears yellow jacket but instead of playing the synth, he's beating the shit out of 2 electronic drums (whatever they're called) and he doesn't miss a beat. The YT account of the person that uploaded it was removed, hence removed from my PSB playlist. It was probably #2 of my all time favorite videos.
