Pet Shop Boys West End Girls Slap Bass version - Synth bass removed Vox Custom

Only bass you hear is me
Heard this earlier today so thought I'd try a quite slap bass only version just to see what it sounds like, a bit of fun!
I removed the original synth bass and boosted the bass drum frequencies to give it a bit more kick.
Few different ideas on this but kept parts of it close to the original, its such a classic pop song that you can't mess with it too much!
Makes a change for me to a song people actually know :)

Bass - Vox Custom 1981 with Warwick 40-100 steels
Effects - Slight delay and chorus from Mixpad apps
Recorded via Presonus Audiobox USB and Mixpad
Video - Huawei P30 Pro front Camera and Clipchamp (slight filter)

I was lucky enough to find it on the Facebook marketplace, I've 2 Standards, the black one you may have seen and another being refinished in red 😁
