Weird. This is the (original VHS) version that didn’t secure the rights to “Can’t take my eyes…” and they simply edited out Neil vocals (and shots of him singing the verses) and the iconic melody of CTMEOOY. When Performance was reissued on DVD, they managed to get the rights to it. Even though the video edit remained the same, the audio featured the previously deleted parts. Weird that they didn’t upload the fully restored version from the DVD.

Either way, still loving the performance and song. Would love to know what U2 thinks of this amazing cover. The Pet Shop Boys are like Tori Amos when it comes to taking another artists song and completely making it their own.
