Hello! Thank you for your videos; they're very helpful! ❤ I do have a few questions regarding my situation with my new hamster, Benny, a 6 week old male syrian. I hope someone in the comments or you, Victoria, will be able to help. So I've had Benny for 4 days now. He's my first hamster ever and I love him to bits! However, even after 4 days, he doesn't seem adjusted yet. When Benny was first introduced to the cage (~620 square inches minus the platform) he instantly hid in his nesting box. He spends a lot of his time in his nesting box, even at night. When he comes out, Benny stays near the edges of the cage. There are plenty of hiding spots and ~6 inches of bedding though. I had to lead him up to the platform with food where his bowls and sand bath are - otherwise, I'm not sure he would've found it on his own. He eats out of my hand and lets me pet him, so I don't think he's scared of people necessarily. He has a 10 inch silent spinner that he hasn't ever used yet, which I thought was odd. He's a VERY shy and cautious little guy, but he hasn't shown stress behaviors like climbing or chewing the bars. He's never explored his cage like how I see other new hamsters do, even after 3-4 days. Should I be worried about this or is this just his personality? Do some hamsters take longer than a few days to settle in and feel safe? Sorry for my rant! I hope I explained well enough. ❤❤❤

I’ve been having a very rough few weeks & seeing this unexpected video on my day off from work really helped 😊 I got the same subscription box, except I got a pink marble tile & a white “fry pan”. Hiyee! I just sat down from deep cleaning my bunny room and saw this. Oh noooooo, virtual hugs for Waddles. That sucks! I’m glad you shared this. We have matching buns! My boy, Chorky (3 yr old lionhead with erect ears though) and Pretty Peetey is a 2 year old lop who still needs her spay surgery. The doc said I have to get her weight down beforehand 😮 My hubby loves sharing his snacks with them.🫤 Lionhead bunny rump is the best! ❤
