I agree that releasing captive birds is a bad idea but I really don't like seeing people talk this way about budgies. They are just as if not more in some cases intelligent as other parrots, and are literally a species of parrot.

I have 17 birds and I know a lot of information about them. If these were other birds they couldn't survive outside. I have budgies and cockatiels. They can't survive outside because they originated from Australia and they were bred to become domesticated. PETA released them, they are wild birds but budgies and cockatiels are not. Thanks to PETA for releasing these angels 😇

All of this is due to the indian law prohibitng wildlife as illegal. While i agree to that i also think that all wild animals should be captive bred so that people who really want such native species as pets has the choice to go get something in a much safer environment for the birds since it would be gov regulated! When banning something entirely such illegal trades will occur for sure and the health of the animals involved would be worse!

I have 2 cocktiels, one is handicapped and the other is a baby, i rescued them from a shop where they were being kept in a really bad condition. I cant even for a minute think of my babies or any other bird being kept like this. Thank you so much PETA❤

I’m glad you saved them I love birds but the message at the end ‘don’t buy birds’ annoys me. I have no birds of my own but all shops near me have birds bred in captivity so not poached/anything illegal. They also don’t sell billions of birds locked in cages I actually rarely find birds in shops they’re usually with breeders online who care and look after their birds. Yes birds deserve to be free but if they can’t survive in the wild or country they’re released in then don’t release them there! They could easily die which u obviously don’t want to happen. Also birds bred in captivity don’t know what it feels like to be free but that’s not necessarily a bad thing bc u can’t release them bc they’d die bc they don’t know how to survive.

she didn't "release" them it's harmfull for the bird itself to out in the free do you never think about other birds outside that could kill them? never free domesticated birds i would never let my baby be "free" out in the wild treat them right is enough and the cage is not meant for them to live in there 24/7 they should be let out free IN THE HOUSE i do that with my conure he absolutely loves me and won't leave even if i want him too, instead of being like "FREe ThE BiRd THey SHOulDNT BE In CaGE" tell thoes PPL to treat them right u meight be thinking u are doing the right thing when letting them free in the wild but no that bird is long gone after 5 mins of u realising them

a very foolish theory. you can only release wild birds that were trapped for trade. if the birds were bred in cages they cannot be released. not all birds have the inherent desire to 'fly'. some cage bred ones recieving enough company and comfort from their owners never choose to fly away

@@rain_._drops2271 but these 🦜 parrots are exotic like most of the parrots are. If most of these parrots got caught and caged then this species will get endangered or critically endangered. BTW today parrots are among the most threatened species of birds (111 of 398 are threatened ≈ 28%). It doesn't matter if someone pets pigeons or doves 🕊️ but parrots are a free living and wild bird. If you have parrot then when he/she dies then please please please don't replace him/her by another 'parrot' or any other exotic/wild species.

The only place wild birds should be is in the wild, not in a cage for the rest of their life. They deserve to fly and live in trees. Wild birds are not pets for our entertainment but if a person wants a bird they should adopt a bird in need of a home from a rescue that cannot survive in the wild

I really hope these birds are capable of surviving in the wild, if they've been made tame or Been living in captivity since they hatched I'm worried they may not possess the ability to survive in the wild. Since many pets are not capable of surviving in the wild because they lack the necessary skills to survive that their wild counterparts have. I think probably some of these birds should have been sent to a sanctuary or been re-homed to a place where their needs can be met. Also certain pet birds like Budgies are only native to Australia, and there is a distinct difference between the wild budgie and the domesticated budgie that is kept as a pet, domesticated budgies cannot survive in the wild as far as I know.

Like specialist says to not realise a bird who is imported in india or Indian but grew up in cage as beacause other or same breed birds kill them only less than 6 will survive and may can die of hungry or temperature as they grew up in cage and are provided food and proper temperature so it's dangerous to realise a caged parrot or bird

I also have a bird that is not always in a cage but always open meaning he is not always caged he is only caged when he sleeps, and ends up always sleeping with us.
