Not only will this theme give me nostalgia because of Petal Meadows itself, but also because this one of the songs we first heard from the remake in the reveal trailer, and my god, not only does that make hearing this theme a million times better, but they really did this theme justice!!! The new instruments add such a "grand adventure" vibe to the whole song, and while you could argue that many songs before this one do that, this being the first ACTUAL chapter of the game, makes it feel like the game is telling you that you have REALLY started the adventure! Which I know sounds kinda repetitive, but I adore how it keeps the excitement of starting your adventure going! And its not like the orchestration takes anything away from the main melody! The start still has some of those digital instruments, but it builds up the main melody of the song with those trumpets in the back! And I really like the use of bongos from 0:14 to 0:30, and again, the build up after that is so well done! (Something I really like about the remade soundtrack is that it really likes building up to the grandest parts of the composition, its so nice!) also I really like how they kept the dinky samples the OG had in that part lol, but the violins helping with the build up shouldn't go unnoticed! And man, when the last part of the OG theme kicks, y'know the composers knew how good it sounded, that they repeated like 4 times, and its so good every time! So emotional! Also like how it goes slightly off key when it transitions to new section of the song, kinda helps with the emotional part lol. And yeah that new section feels super natural and really does feel the vibe the OG was going for! (And my god, the violin, the harp, and trumpet... It's all amazing!), oh and them ending with a reprise of the beginning of the song is perfect, the percussion sounding especially nice right before the loop! Man this remix is amazing, I already liked the OG a lot, but this version I like so much, and its insane how they really 1up'd themselves with this remix!! It might have some bias from the remake trailer, but damn it sounds spectacular! (Also almost forgot to mention the 1-1 leitmotif at 0:12, which tbh I always found a little redundant because of how the battle theme already has it, but tbh it doesn't really bother my enjoyment of the composition, so I still think it sounds great lol)
