Petar "Stewie" Stantchev is an instantly recognizable Barcelona local. As a little person, Stantchev's skatespots are typically scaled way up compared to other skaters-a standard ledge reaches his mid-to-upper thigh-requiring more pop and making what he can do that much more impressive. When you add in the fact that he speaks four languages, is a talented artist, and has an awesome sense of humor, Stantchev is basically that dude you always want to skate with. This is such a great film! None of the bullshit focusing on how he is different and oh what an inspiration because of that. It was in fact, this guy seriously rips on a board and is a proper nice man and it's because of that, despite differences, that he's inspiring. I can't skate anymore after 13/14 years on a board due to an underlying disability hitting me in my early 20s. But I really love how seeing this made me wanna skate again like crazy.
