The transfer station footage was the icing on the cake.

Haha yeah, that's why I don't love filming in the winter. Appreciate your determination though. The red really stands out from the snow which looks pretty awesome. This may just be me, but I thought it was interesting how loose of a grip this truck had, can't recall many videos of these grippers with a loose grip. It was pretty fun to watch the truck slide around in the snow lol. The transfer station shot was another bonus. Awesome video, I don't think of anything I didn't like.

mndsi Yeah we have one of these and there's areas we can't run it because the grippers are very limiting. If we would've got it with standard 60/90 grabbers it would be the best truck in the fleet.

mndsi thank you! Yeah the snow was certainly a challenge to film it but for my first snow footage I'm pleased with how it came out. Definitely proved helpful for driving later on in my trip and actually in upcoming filming trips I have planned. I think the loose grippers were a combination of the ice and not gripping tight enough. They did grip just fine just some carts didn't work

This truck looked damn awesome in the snow! What an enormous contrast with this bright red truck (with a bright yellow arm) working in the clear white, even the red carts sitting in the snow were cool to look at. Cool name for a company too, Eagle Rock Sanitation, very catchy :D Well done to the drove picking that cart up at 1:20, making sure he does it thorough and tidy. Enjoyed watching the wheels slipping on the frosty ground a few times like at 5:38, looked like it was coming right for you for a moment. I noticed you featured some scenery throughout the video as the truck took off a few times - I note your effort to be out there in rural areas during this weather is appreciated, well worth the truck you caught. Unloading action was a nice way to end, was so certain I'd see the body lift up at some point, until I noticed the rubbish pushing itself out the back :P Poor bloke in the RORO beside him was having a bastard of a time I noticed, seemed nothing wanted to fall out.

MitchellM15 thank you! It definitely created a nice contrast in the snow for sure. And yeah he was sliding all over. Sorta disappointed I never got some shots of him just turning regular corners. Glad you enjoyed!

Kudos to you for getting this much footage in the first place - looks like it was an extremely hard route to film on (...experiencing similar conditions yesterday lol). I really like how the red stood out against all the other white and gray scenery. I also appreciate how much more smoothly this arm works that other 7000 arms that are much more jerky and clanky. Great addition with the transfer station footage as well.

SoCalGarbageTrucks thank you! As it would prove the next day in the trip and again the following week, this was just a test snow to see how I could handle it lol glad you enjoyed it

2013 Heil 7000? They were still making this body in 2013? I thought it was discontinued years earlier?
