This was the golden age of Enders... such a well written scene with fascinating characters! The scriptwriters of 2015 couldn't pull this off even if they had a year's notice like for the 30th anniversary special. The actors they hire today do not have the capability to play such complex characters. It's gone way past its sell by date as a show!

EastEnders was only ever cool and worthwhile throughout its first decade, whereupon it wavered noticeably (though still watchable) from the late 90s to 2001-ish, but by then it was all over! All it is now is an unidentifiable hodgepodge of embarrassing nonsense, with everything a diluted and event-free embarrassment of all the sensational topics it used to cover so well. There are no proper actors any more, it doesn't have a feel of space or time or anything real. Just dumb. A pretend grown-ip Hollyoaks-cum shoddy Corrie.
