I agree. And if I recall correctly, the Nigerian prince email was a known scam even when the character of Trevor was alive.

I think Trevor (wall street guy) died in 2000. The Nigerian prince scam/ African email scams peaked in mid to late 2000s, I think. So he probably died before those scams became infamous. My mom got a similar email. Just like Pete (the boy scout) didn't know abt the film Ghostbusters because he died before it was released.
