As for Pete, I couldn't hear it at first, but after listening to them both it's possible to believe the other one is voicing Pete. He's changed up his accent a bit and and is obviously doing a hoarse/yelling type of voice, and I hear the same type of inflections/intonations in his voice.

They use all kinds of trickery in the studio to make their voices sound like that, and it doesn't involve the use of autotune. @deanosaur808 they don't use autotune, they are voiced by Nine and Dex. Listen to any live footage where you can hear their actual voices over the record and you'll realise it's not them. Then do some digging on Dex, he has old comedy skits where he puts on the "Bas" voice and it is pitch perfect, identical in every way. Then when you realise Nine and Dex own and produce everything Pete and Bas have ever done, it all starts to make sense. There's a good rabbit hole thread online that unpacks some of this.

so I have pretty good ears, I checked out a nine & dex song and... the voice of bas is definitely one of the grandsons. It's the same voice, you can literally hear it, he just makes it more raspy and less natural sounding. As for Pete... I honestly know next to nothing about british accents, and I couln't hear Pete in the other bloke, at least it's not obvious. Sounds like a different accent but they could have gotten someone else to do that voice, either that or he's a hell of a voice actor Not to mention... their flows are exactly the same. I have no doubt Pete & Bas have put some effort it but yeah it's pretty clear they're being carried by their grandsons.

But while he sounds like Bas...their is a distinct difference in their voices. If he's able to pull off that nuanced difference on bas vs the other old man character. Man more power to him. It's impressive. As for the flows...these 4 have been working together since 2017 and Nine and Dex just started doing their own thing. While I'm fine if they're the writers, the reality is if we spend a decade making music with people, you'll all start to sound similar.

Anyone can do a deep voice like bas with the right setup. I can tell you now that Dex is not doing Bas' voice. It's impossible! Listen to all their songs, from 2018 to 2024 not just some isolated vocal that sounds similar lol Nine is a sensitive guy, he's deleted so many posts on his FB, IG etc, and deleted all content from his gaming channel. I can guarantee that he is documenting studio evidence to prove once and for all the p&b are real, but we won't see any of it until p&b are dead and buried

You can hear in the video that it's not, they're keeping up with the bars and their mics are on but they're kinda 50/50 miming over a backing track with the studio vocal. You can hear Bas' voice pretty clearly at points, they've got a lot of energy especially considering their age but the voice on the studio track is nowhere near how they actually sound. Can't knock them though, live music is entertainment and they're no less 'real' than any major artist. The production, lyrics and flow that's been made for them is top notch and they pull it off as much as they need to.
