One thing about Pete & Bas tunes is that they’re slow burners… there’s so many hidden bars and double entendres that you’ll only catch on your 4/5th listen. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Saw them live last night. Great show and atmosphere. Both decent though I think Pete’s vocal style is better suited to live performance. Bas was fine but maybe a bit more shouty than in the studio.

Think because even if its all fictionalized, they still sound like they are cockney and wouldnt doubt they grew up in the post war estates. Feel like you would learn about whats going on in the street even if you didnt take part in it.

There is one bar. That killed me when i first listened, then it killed me 4 days later when i figured out how damn hard it was. The cock a doole do bar. So you got the onomatopoeia of a gun cocking and the onomatopoeia rooster. But when taken in context of the lines around it. Its a double ontop of a double. So yeah get shot or its a wake up call. Old farm alarm clock. You dont want to coss that line You dont want to back down nether Ether way youll hear cock a doodle do when i back that nina So double on the onomatopoeia And the double of the gun shots or wake up call
