I've always been a big fan of Pete and was lucky enough to meet him once on High Bridge in Newcastle. He'd just been to a retro shop called Attica, sadly no longer there, and he'd bought a bag of ties amongst other stuff. I saw him and said "Hi Pete" and he stopped, asked me how I was doing and showed me his ties, telling me he loved the shop he was in etc. I thanked him for being so nice, he said "don't be daft, my pleasure." I told him to take care and he smiled and said "I'll try." There were no "famous celebrity" airs about him, just a lovely man.

He left them at his ass in a manor house near Marlborough he was renting about 13 years ago. We done some work for his former land lord clearin that place out. Was a total wreck. Nice furniture trashed and graffitti's. Loadsa pins lyin about. We burned the lot in an oil drum binfire. But kept a few sweety tins as i heard he collected them. Interviewers are so obsessed with bringing out the sad, depressive side of Peter. Ask him about Oscar Wilde and his favourite poets and he’ll open up a pot of gold for you. But it’s all so serous and actually idiotic. Ask him about his dreams and his passions. Talk about poets and writers and he’ll introduce you to artists who will enrich your life. He’s one of the great dreamers and romantics of our time.

The Crocodile tears of a very well self trained narcissist. He knows very well how to manipulate people through these interviews, and as far as I can see this is a major move by his management to present him as the sad little boy, and he milks it for all hes got. All you sycophants need to read up on the Mark Blanco story, the fact he injected a starry eyed fan with Heroin, etc etc etc. He even went back to the scene of Mark Blancos death and recorded a song called "What a lovely day for a murder". Hes truly a horror of a bloke. Im amazed no one sees through him and seemingly never has. Hes so see through hes transparent
@SculptExpress-gv8jp19 күн бұрын
That’s truly sad, but he admits here his amorality that drugs brought on. Heroin is poison; didn’t Nico inject her own son after which he fell into coma?! Pete says that he is a pleasure seeker, which combined with hard drugs is not much pleasure for others. At the end of the day he is a survivor. We all are, regardless drug use.
@albanomadarts19 күн бұрын
@@SculptExpress-gv8jp He can tell that to Mark Blancos Mother, or the Police investigating his Murder. Pete knows exactly who did it and the murder is still unresolved. Do you see what you just did? The romanticism of rock n roll mythology and also of literature can really mess up impressionable young men. Pete seems to have been caught up in all that - and he is now traumatised, poor soul. I knew some folks who knew him in the early to mid 2000’s. I was never a fan of the libertines at the time but decided to watch this interview and I enjoyed it. I’ve warmed to him, 20 years later. His next step is reaching out to his older children and trying to heal that trauma. It won’t be easy. He has a knack for a tune and still has the confidence to perform so good luck to him. God bless.
