I was only 8 when my older sisters told me of his death. I new him, in my little mind, as a charismatic cowboy at the time. I remember I was confused and deeply, deeply sad by what they told me. Maybe even my first experience with tragedy. In my little self, I was introduced to the possibility of profound sorrow of a human being. A lesson at a young age I've never forgotten. Thank you, thank you for posting.
