mr. pete alexander.. currently playing for julie black is one of the tightest, solid drummers i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. his shed style playing mixed with classic r n b and hip hop roots is amazing. all that coupled with open hand playing makes him one of the most talented drummers out there.

overhead refers to the overhead microphones over the cymbals.. its actually a very common mistake i see which can result in the cymbals being extremely hot in your drum mix.. (hot means theyre just entirely too loud and producing frequency levels that get mushed together and lose all dynamics!) :) hope this helps!
