Each one had a different challenge, Steve. 😀Ways of supporting them as I cleared them out tested my little grey cells🤔 and the 41 Plymouth is like a filigree earring and extremely fragile so I've reinforced that with a stretched sprue framework on the rear🤓. I'm finishing this lot off with a tamiya 1/35th Chieftain tank🤣👍

@@AmateurScaleModelBuildi-lj3so I'm glad to hear it 👍😃. I'm a normal person,2arms,legs hands and fingers. All I've done is push myself to do better. I do not accept 'It is,what it is!' as a justification for me not trying. Every time I look at a model, car, plane or tank,I take that as a starting point. The companies that make models do their best to make a reasonable representation of the item at an economic cost. With a bit of research and modelling skills,I want to make it into a more accurate model. The Corsair kit you have,I know there are detail upgrades for its cockpit, wings and undercarriage, made from resin and etched brass. Much like people are buying 3D printed engines for cars. Plus many books, other people's builds on yt and Google photos, which all would help you make a better model of it. All kits are the same, whatever scale, they are just shaped, blobs of styrene. Good luck and best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓

I just got "sucked in" to the Christmas joy. I have Wednesday the 27th off, so I'll try and get back on it then...maybe try it tomorrow after work if I'm up to it. I was also working on those "drop in" wooden windows for Natie's Garage, trying to make the popsicle sticks interlock and sorting out the notches needed.

@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 far too often I’ve relied on the “latest tool” to do a job. But your right, the innovation that came out of the 60’s-80’s is waning as there’s not new generations behind us taking up the hobby. Plus, I see it all the time, builders want instant results, and they’re just not patient enough for an exercise like this.🤷🏻‍♂️

Man that 41 Plymouth must have been a hard one. I guess if you can open that one Iight have been able to do the 40 and 32 Fords that i already finished. I was afraid to try them when I was building the cars.

I've showed the 40 I've done,Ted. When I tried doing a 32,a couple of years ago,it collapsed on me. I don't bother doing those types anymore.😧.. I've added a correcting an error idea for the next video and rubbed too far through the Chevelle one. As I thought that might happen to someone new trying this and don't want people to totally give up if they do something like that,or like 125rods want to try to repair what they have done🤔

@@modelcarmadness5119 I'll give you another tip. Imagine 2 fine toothed haircombs. Space them, parallel, 2 inches apart and fix them, standing upright with prongs stood up. Maybe into parallel saw cuts in a block of wood and epoxied in,with the prongs lined up to each comb. This is hard to explain in words, so look for a drawing in my pad in a future vid. But continuing, if prongs are lined up,evergreen strip can be laid into gaps in combs, bridging the 2 combs. At 90 degrees, glue another strip bridging the other strips, near each comb and you should have a row of strip equally spaced by comb prongs forming a grille to replace a fine moulded grille for a deuce grille.Merry Christmas 🎅👍

Doug. I was saying the same thing to my brother,a few days ago, that I hadn't been specific about where the grille comes from. He does mainly military models on his channel and I don't care whether it comes from a galleons cabin skylight,a tank,a jet intake grille, whatever you want. The theme is improving details and hand skills. If people assume it's only cars that is because they live in an echo chamber that only includes cars, which really has been the cause of the problem. Do whatever you want and how many you want,in whatever scale you want aswell😃👍😉. 🎅😎Pete 🤓🎅
