yep, one of the best at these stop/half volleys...another good play he possessed was realizing he had too tough a half volley coming, he'd step back and hit a quick winning ground stroke

Even nadal wont touch those volleys . Impossible to chase down and hit a passing shot. No body volleys like that now, federrer is the only one who can volley in today's tennis . Federrer is nowhere near sampras when it comes to net volleying.

The problem today is that young players don't learn the proper technique, they don't learn to put slice on the volleys to keep it low, so they look lost often when it comes to having to hit volleys.
