Nothing is better than his performance of Young Man Blues at the Isle Of Wight. Something like 9 straight windmills during the solo, each one lacerating his hand. The man's hand's used to bleed profusely after shows. See the famous shot of him in Rolling Stone Magazine after a US show in 1980. Blood running all over his arm.

john tuttle not fake. That pic was taken backstage at Madison Square Garden in NYC in 1979. Pete cut his hand shortly after they started the show and it wouldn't stop bleeding so he took a break to get it taken care of. I was at that concert

thats most likley due to the fact that when pete used lp's they completley solid and so tough and hard, but now they are hollowed out, and a strat is much lighter and easier to smash
