Buildings are added the the Milton Keynes station area.
Delicate lattice canopies are assembled by Phil.
Pete provides more background on the layout and his 'madness'.
See this layout at Chester Cathedral in July 2023.

Housebound means I probably will never see it in the flesh, but it is so good to see folk like Pete Waterman organise these wonderful projects. It is a wonderful way to bring new blood into the hobby and revive a few who stopped years ago. Thanks for updating us.

One thing that stands out is the one I have with Peco track >Is the lack of concrete sleepers on the point work I have tryed for years to get this !!!

Great update Dave and wow, thought 1 & 2 were mammoth challenges, but this one goes to a complete new level. Couple of questions……. The supporting walls Pete shows at the end…. Have they printed these themselves are what have they used, and last question, the concrete pain they have used for the concrete bricks…..? Many thanks in advance and look forward to the next one. It still puzzles me why PECO doesn't change the spacing of the sleepers on their track work to replicate the true spacing on real track, especially now that the trend is for more detailed and realistic models.

I always thought the track was HO but sold as HO/OO there is a world of modelling outside the Britain. Additionally I have heard that there are places on the networks were the bed is solid concrete. I agree with Mr Waterman the spacing of the sleepers is a small detail that can be ignored in the OO scale. Can you imagine how much fun a 10yr old is going to have counting 48 telephone boxes, maybe a Tardis and a big Paddington Bear. I say help the old boys out. Everard Junction, Dean Park get together and make them a school group for the carpark. Who else can help with making the benches, me and the kids train spotting. And Happy New Year to you all.

Looking forward to viewing the layout `up and running` in July. Are you to create a service area along side the layout ? Or do you need me to carry (as I aways do) `me` swiss army knife again ? Take care Happy New Year to you all.

I just design and make the PCBs. I leave it to Phil and the team to test the products. After all, I need their feedback.

The bi-directional operation thing is quite unusual particularly at Stafford where platforms four and five are normally south and northbound respectively - but five is sometimes used bi-directionally - as per the link when the Deltic came through - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoOok4qhgtZ6h7M
