Yea me too he's cool. He actually let me and a couple other guys play on his drums for a little bit after their show in Fort Collins CO. A lot smaller than i thought he was even tho that doesn't mean anything I just thought he was bigger when I watched videos but now I can tell. He is a monster on the kit and very cool. Also met and smoke buds with Carlos from bonded by blood. He was really cool too. Both are amazing drummers.

I accidentally deleted my comment haha! But yeah, to each there own. I prefer the feel of two kicks but I use a double pedal to get a uniform sound. It's like playing a roll on two snares, feels cool cause you get more rebound since the opposite stroke isn't inhibiting said rebound.. but it doesn't sound as uniform.

Frantic Tv Having an extra kick makes the entire drum kit look bigger and badass, and the reason he uses only one is because tune both kicks to sound "the same" is a pain in ass hahahaha
