I want Pete to know that he is one of my biggest writing influences. If it wasn't for him and Fall Out Boy, I probably wouldn't write like I do today. Pete's dog's name was Hemingway, which got me to read Hemingway and get into literature and modernism. A lot of people talk about writing influences, and I think I raise some eyebrows when I say Pete Wentz, Ryan Ross and Conor Oberst haha.

I’ve never been in a band but god I can relate to what Pete was saying about about being stuck in a small place with the same people around you for long periods of time. I’m a missionary with an organisation called YWAM and we usually have to share a room with 4 or 5 other people and live in the same house with around 15 other people. We work together as well as live together. I love what I do but it can be hard when you’re annoyed or you just want time alone and you can’t get away from people. I take my hat off to these guys for doing it for like 20 years.
