Okay, upon closer research, I have learned that not only is this soundtrack real, but the singer was indeed David Steele, who, according to the Dragon Ball wiki, contributed one song to the soundtrack of the unreleased Ocean dub of Kai.

@@bgvo4373 yea I am OT-OST all the way but this one is just a banger. Whish the German version or later Englisch/international releases would use songs like this if they don't use the original. Most localizations feel like cheap cover versions of the Japanese version.

Reminds me a lot of 'Gotta Catch'em all' from Pokemon. Makes me think of what would have happened if Dragon Ball was immediately as successful as Pokemon.

We'll never know. Let's just be thankful that DBZ was so successful on Toonami that it let Funimation actually dub the original Dragon Ball series in its entirety.

I'm also guessing David Steele was the singer for this, since I doubt Peter Berring or Brian Griffith did nothing more than compose the song and write the lyrics, respectively.

Such an incoherent and repetitive extension. I like the theme as cheesy as it is, but there has to be more effort in this extension than just repeating things already heard.
@imfsresidentotaku9699Ай бұрын
You literally clicked on a 5-minute extension of a minute-long song and are complaining about it “repeating things already heard.” After the entire minute of the song played out, just what were you expecting to hear for the remaining four minutes? The uploader put in as much effort as reasonably possible given the length of the material provided, and you’re calling it “incoherent and repetitive.” You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Not to mention, this song isn’t “cheesy” as long as you consider that anything can be sincere given its context.
