How Is this even humanly possible? I've heard about some extremely skilled veteran pilots loose their lives because of lack of altitude. Definitely one of the best videos I've seen

What’s the name of this manoeuvre @ 7:00 ? (Plane flying pitch up, wings at approx 45 degree tilt, often performed close to the ground, seemingly just above stall speed - I’d imagine hard on the throttle - image used for thumbnail also). Thanks so much what an amazing video, and amazing pilot/ground crew! Thank you for sharing this.

That's not flying. That's beyond flying. That's... hell, I don't know what it is. Sky dancing, might be close to what that is. Yeah, 6:50 was shocking. I thought it was going to touch. Some of those maneuvers don't even have a name, they're so convoluted and mixed up.

A lot of what Aerobatic pilots do in displays would get them killed in a dogfight.
@peterb63827 жыл бұрын
Aerobatics derived from dog fighting! It was to learn your planes limits to out fly your opponent. Learning gyroscopic maneuvering gave you an advantage because you could roll faster with the aid of rudder and torque to turn away quicker. Many early aerobatic competitions were flown in war time trainers.

Yeah it’s dangerous. Often happens accidents. Here in Germany Happened one of the biggest accidents in history it was 1988 in Rammstein. You can see videos on it on KZbin. The pilots which were do the accident were one of the best pilots of show flight. Many people died and the Videos of the accident is very shocking

awesome! i'm trying to unterstand how to perform a lomecevak on a rc place, but there's something i don't understand: neil williams explains that the lomecevak is started with full left rudder on a plane having the prop turning anti clockwise seen from the pilot. if i'm right, the prop of an extra is turning clockwise, so one should start a lomecevak with right rudder. but in the video, peter besenyei starts all lomecevak with left rudder. can someone help me to unterstand?
@ronhicks16637 жыл бұрын
it really doesnt matter what direction the prop is turning. the important thing is having enough through in your rudder to get the plane sideways then full down elev. and full left or right rudder and full throttle. the prop torque doesnt really effect a crank shaft maneuver.

I know nothing about flying etc, so I have some questions. How hard is it? Can any "normal" pilot just jump in and do this kind of stuff? How long have they trained for stuff like this.
@FaithByFlight8 жыл бұрын
+Glenn Johan Flying isn't hard in general. It's like any new thing that you may try to do, it just takes practice. A "normal" pilot would be able to do barrel rolls and simple stuff like that, but not tumbles the slip close to the ground, or any flatspins/inverted stalls. As for training, it all depends on the pilot. Some people are naturally talented and some take years of training.

now, i am wondering if FW190 can roll as fast as this plane? or 190 even has faster roll rate?

How many hours of flight does he have? He must be flying more than walking.
@abramo77005 жыл бұрын
Walking to the store? Nah, I fly it and stall it over the roof and land, where I come in from the top and grab my groceries, and tie them to a rope and fly away with the groceries flying behind.
@ronhicks16637 жыл бұрын
and if any of you are curious about how most of these high energy tumbling maneuvers were invented you should watch an rc pilot named jase dussia. he is a 18 year old who has been flying since he was six imo he is the best rc pilot in the world. without rc pilots like that kid aerobatic pilots would still just be doing cuban eights rolls and loops. rc has had a huge impact and influence on actual aerobatic flying.

Too bad this plane doesn't have any rudder authority. That low pass goofing around at the end was insane, wonder if he's ever done the drunk pilot wandering onto the field and stealing the aircraft routine...his would be SPECTACULAR.

The tumbling part had some moments where the wing almost touched the grass. Those moments are good luck and fewer skills. The master flew at high risk to do the show. Well, that's my point of view.

The airforces of the world talk so proudly of thrust vectoring, these pilots make Pugachev’s Cobra look childish.
