I'm a hopeless outspoken "peacenik" thanks to your Dad. I grew up on real music (It doesn't make you popular in these insane times).

I was raised on your father's music, and continue to turn to his words of wisdom in these difficult times. He is one of those moral voices in my head. He and Noel and Mary are a gift to humanity.

When I see courage, and know that a peaceful person is standing alone, I revisit this song, to fill my spirit. It is the anthem of those who understand that the protest against a culture of war, begins with a single warrior refusing to serve the cause of war handed to him or her, public or private.

I love this song. This, I believe is one of Peter's best. It's great that he is not afraid to speak out....certainly a brave thing to do in this conservative age.

Shirley Pena ... I ALWAYS ...Always loved this song... the powerful Message covering eons of time as does the Mandela (“Mandala”) from the most ancient of Man’s Religions ... .. sadly... Peter should be writing.. and/or playing his old tapes... and.... butchers the song.. Bethany brings fingernails to the blackboard.. off key., no less.

Even after singing this song with Richie Havens, who pronounced it correctly, Peter still mispronounced "mandala" as "mandella."

Greed for power & materialism will be the death of our nation unless we reset our moral compass (mandala).....
