Peter Bogdanovich Recommends: Marlene Dietrich

Performance was amazing because like the player piano in the brothel she was so old (not chronologically but stylistically) she was new again.

98% of all people have no idea that it was USA who started WW1 and WW2 in Europe. It is USA who whats a WW3 in Europe. Bogdanovich (I like him a lot) didn't know either.

All the Dietrich films made with Sternberg are now available. She was a nationally known stage, film and recording artist with appearances in star roles in such shows as, ZWEI KRAVATEN, ES LIEGT IN DER LUFT, THE WOMAN ONE LONGS FOR, and the hit recording, "Peter, " before Sternberg "discovered" her. Do your homework Herr Bogdanovich.

You'd think he'd at least look up the wiki on her in the late '80s when he recorded this, am I right?

@@koomo801 Good point. Not sure how old Wiki is, but yes, the info was readily available from original sources..
