I believe I was 26 years old when I had the opportunity to see Ms. Eden in person. It was at the GLADD awards of 1986 in Hollywood, and there were so many celebrities there that night. I sat across from Elizabeth Montgomery and her husband Robert Foxworth. All of the Golden Girls gave speeches, along with so many others. But, it was Barbara Eden that took everyone's breath away when she came across the stage. She wore a sky-blue sequin gown. It was no wonder that she was a movie star. It might sound weird to some of you, but she was PERFECTLY beautiful. She was facially symmetrical -- a balance. I've always remembered that about her. A naturally striking beauty inside and out. I haven't been around any celebrities since that time, but Barbara's beauty literarily pushed me back in my seat that evening in 1986. God Bless, Barbara! I'm 62 years old now. And let me tell you, they don't make them like Barbara Eden anymore.

That doesn't sound weird to me at all. She blew me away the first time I ever saw her on TV (the Andy Griffith Show, with Andy's classic line: "nature has been real good to you. I mean, real, real, REAL good to you!") and she still affects me the same way. I believe her inner beauty comes out and enhances everything about her. And it's difficult to find anything bad said about her anywhere, which is amazing when you consider how mean the world has gotten.

I assisted Ms Eden many times at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. She was as sweet as you can imagine. Her fav lipstick was Estée Lauder Cinema Pink. Oh Lordy when the company discontinued the color I saved as many as I could. She bought them all.

Well, I know it’s been a really long time ago but; I saw her at the Grand Canyon when she was still married to Michael Ansara and they were there with their young son….he was maybe about 10 ( so you know how long ago that was!). She was in her prime, of course, looked gorgeous, BUT absolutely snooty and ignored everyone! other tourists were looking but no one bothered her! I talked to Michael Ansara and he was very nice and polite! So…..I never forgot that about her. So, assuming at her age now, she has a different perspective on life! She really thought she was ‘all that’ back then I guess!!

Not sure but pretty certain IMDB and Wikipedia are wrong. She is not older or the same age as Larry who was born in 1931. I think she was born in 1934. Had a quick glance at her biography book but couldn't find the date easily. If so she is 87 but still that is a wonderful age to get to.

I've just listened to Barbara recite "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Comments weren't allowed, so I'll comment here. I've listened to many people recite the story, but Barbara was positively the best at it. The emphasis she put on certain words and sort of a giggle at times were priceless. Barbara, you look exactly as you did in the show! I'd never EVER seen anyone that looks so much like she used to, as you do. I mean you look fabulous, but sometimes people look great but different. You look with a few more years but as if someone had put makeup on you to make you look that way. This is a compliment of course, but it's also the truth. You know, like when on the movies they want to portray a character a few years later so they make them look with X more years, but they still look just as they are? Well, that's you. You look the same, sound the same, move the same, have the same freshness, laughter. It's amazing. And whatever more years you look, they look nice and natural. You're a darling.
