First time here... I just turned 40 but grew up with jazz and blues thanks to my dad who was very old when he had me 😆 Anyhow i knew Brotzmann and Im an Ornette person myself but to my surprise this sounds not only bluesy but the drum solos sound psychedelic rock - almost like a copy of innagadadavida by iron butterfly (talking about the original 18 minute version). Not to mention the guitar solo starting at 2:45ish sound down tuned and black sabbatish AF!

The Fender Bass VI has it's limitations, rarely does it cut through the mix. Surprised Laswell tried it out. Fast and midrange is not his forte, typically he's more subsonic. Sick groove by Ronald Shannon Jackson, jam falls apart after that.
