I met Peter at my print shop in Surrey Bc in the 1990's! He would come in for photocopies of some of his publicity pictures! It was always fun to see him, about every second week, for about a year! It was fun talking to him and we always had a few good laughs! RIP Peter.

trwent Maybe it was an honest mistake from someone writing a quick comment. That can happen sometimes. Their's a large grope of peeple out they're who just don't kare. When u point out there errors they excuse u of being grammer nazi's. They fight there own spell check systems, and sum even take pride in there ignorance. There the same 1's who will either spend a lifetime flipping burgers, or end up wandering in old age why all the Asian immigrants ended up with all the high paying jobs. They aint got know time too learnt proper like! It is, to say the least, extremely discouraging.

My Cousin Peter Breck was a good man... Unfortunately I only spent about 45 minutes with him when I was in the 3rd grade. After a Wild West Show he put on for our School at the request of His Aunt (our School Nurse). He was great.. Performed Rope Tricks, Quick Draw, Cut News Paper and Cigarette in half out of our Principles mouth with a Bull Whip. Called several different kids up on stage to assist him.. The kids around me were giving me a hard time not believing me that Peter was my Cousin. A teacher overheard and asked me if this was true. I informed her my dad told me. When the show was over we all went back to our class rooms. Over the loud speaker I was being called down to the office... Upon entering the office I saw Peter Breck standing there.. We went into the Nurses room and spent some time talking. He wanted to know about my family and how we all were... Told me about his Show "Black Saddle" and his life... It was an Awesome time... He gave me one of the bullets from his Gun Belt... I Truely wish I had looked him up when I graduated High School in 1970... Awww...What Could have been...?

I know that I'm commenting way late, but I always thought that Peter Breck's character, Nick, was the most handsome and brash (if that's the word) on the Big Valley!! If you wanted to get things done, you could always count on Nick Barclay!! He and his wife made such a beautiful pair - loved their wedding pictures, BTW! God bless you and keep you and your family, Peter!! I am sure that Heaven is an even happier place, since there's a new Guardian Angel!!🙂🙂✝️⚜️

Peter was in the series with the forever lovely Barbara Stanwycch in "Big Valley...so many, many westerns back in the day & I lived them all..."Big Saddle" was Peters series only going 2 years I think. Most all of them were from the old western movie genre stars or new ones on scene as Peter or also one like Peter Brown, with John Russel in "The Lawman".....You think there was maybe 150 westerns before, then with the big explosion of westerns in late 50's-early 60's? (some lasted only a year or few years...others longer with Gunsmoke going on from 1955-1975 while all others came and left. Many of the ones to be in own shows made some appearance with Matt Dillon...I loved the Peter Breck episodes...both times he was a good guy...I could go on and on...I loved this guy, he died one year after Jim Arness......(I always wanted so badly to see Matt Dillon with a real, genuine deputy...a serious one and Peter Breck would have been perfect with Matt for 20 years) Instead we put up with most awful of all the monster, useless actors that only ruin all they are in on screen...THE "Festus," also Thad and Newly....(Chester could have been office janitor and get mail yet...minimize any serious part, etc...rest can plague somewhere else.) And I wish so much there would be a good...really good 2 hour special on TV or internet (Yahoo?) giving good history and scenes from all these old westerns from TV...make it 3 hours and give 1st hour to the silver screen regular and popular westerns like Rocky Lane (also in Gunsmoke several times) then do the TV last 2 hours...it would go over big..put it on DVD too. ...Peter Breck, you were great, you should have ben Matt dillons deputy for 20 years. Then I could watch all of Gunsmoke shows now and not have to avoid 10 years of them with that nut job Festus, etc...forever a puzzle...even Dennis Weaver left after 9 years...no good reason why but I have suspicion.
