I had thought this was already up on KZbin but it appears not. So in response to those who want to see it once again here is our special interview show with Brocky recorded on the eve of him leaving for The Goodwood Revival. Less than 2 weeks later he was gone, killed in a crash while competing in the Targa West Tarmac Rally in Western Australia.
To this day it's hard to watch this without feeling so sad, and also wondering just what Brock would be doing now. It'd be something pretty exciting I would imagine.
Sorry about the quality but it was encoded as a podcast back when podcasts were really small.

He was an amazing man, I met both Peter Broke and Allan Mofit. It was because of Allan coming to my parents Aquarium Buisness that he agreed to introduce me to Peter Broke. Much respect to both Men, for not dismissing a young boy and his dream.

I met the man at a promo event when I was a young teen and you couldn't have met a more genuine bloke. I probably spent a good 30 mins talking to him that day and he even came back to talk between his commitments. I was already a fan but that day just confirmed it for me.

I meet Peter for the first time as a kids in the 1986 after the wellington water front race "Nissan Mobil 500" & I still remember it like it was yesterday. I felt on top of the world talking with Peter as here was this man I looked up to as a driver and he was happy talking with me. I asked him how someone like myself could get started as a driver an he told me to just drive as much as possible even if that meant racing around a paddock because of my age at that time. He said the things He learned as a kid was a good foundation on learning car control and how to read away a car moves under you and He warned me every car moves differently and has it own personality. The best advise any one has given me in my lifetime as it's so true and this kiwi is so grateful for those few precious minute's. Respect PB

RIP Peter. He seems like such a level headed bloke. I owned a VK HDT Brock SL Commodore and I always enjoyed driving it so much, I'm sure that Peter loved seeing his cars on the road.

Thanks for posting, I remember watching Brocks last race at Surfers back in 95 or 96, he drove that commodore's ass off. I was standing about 2 mts from the fence and Brock was doing 250 ks+ down the back straight, it was mind blowing being so close at full song

Peter was full of passion for life and it shows in this interview. I loved that he was trying to help the other categories of Motorsport as well as his passion for driving. Great memories of Peter Brock as a racing and fan of his since I was a kid.

If Brocky was still around we would still have a car industry in Australia because he was a fair dinkum bloke, I am sure he would be the type of fellow that would have been interested in an all Australian car, I think it is entirely possible that Aussies can build their own car. all it needs is a bit of positive thinking, but I dont believe we can ever have a car industry hear with other countries leaching of it.like GM are doing to Holden, i think Holden should have cut ties with GM a long time ago, those old engine designs were so antiquated, we could have done much better with engine design.

All i will say is GOD BLESS HIM, HOLDEN Would have not got anywhere near the sales they got during the time he raced and his ideas were amazing as far as doing up the HDT holdens and then selling them with about 400% profit when you think about the work which went into those cars, once you have a way of modifying those cars and body panels which have been changed to basically bolt up and painted thats it really just like Harrop and Walkingshaw do now for the HSV and holden VF series car and even before that, pay a little extra and get something special, but the special is not in those cars because the persons who work on those cars are not worth mentioning at all, but if you have say people who work on the current supercars and they are the ones which do up your current VF or V series car from the 1990's to now let say then its like have a new brocky basically, but nope you cant get more than what you paid for any of the cars which are done by Harrop or walkinshaw etc.. :)

I really miss Brocky. The man was all class and it's such a shame what happened. Read Bev Brock's book and she said it was bullshit Peter died doing what he loved. The only reason that they used Ford rear ends because they were a cheap option. GM has the 12 bolt diff and are just as tough as the Ford 9 inch diff. Moser engineering now make these differential assemblies for all GM muscle cars.
