As beautiful as it gets! I've heard him reference his mother multiple times before (the album covers for Sinema and Climax; the section about buying a place for his ma in "Shit I'm Dreaming", and the whole of "Remain in Me" for parents in general), but never heard such a direct reference to his dad before. While Surya’s booming harmonious voice in itself is a gourmet treat to the ears, in Beta, the bass, sax and drums seem to have matured into their own and claiming well-deserved space. Hiding in plain sight, in Suddenly, the bass track effortlessly utilizes the space between vocal pauses adding depth and frankly, magic to the song. (full review to come)
