I was about 14 at the time when Peter Cormack signed for Liverpool in 1972. He was 1 of the best midfield players that I have seen.

I was born in the late 70s, but for my 13th birthday I was bought the Liverpool FC Centenary book, I read extensively about legends past. Cormack was truly vital and such a sad passing.

Seen Peter Cormack playing early in his career great player just like alex cropley and the rest of the hibs team in the early seventies iam a rangers fan here from Edinburgh many Great Rangers and hibs games that was football now no chance i seen hibs play Leeds Liverpool Coventry and few good teams at Easter road but all the best to the Cormack family and rip Peter sad day for all the Hibs fans and everyone connected rangers fan from Edinburgh rip

I remember Peter well he added innovation into a strong physical and talented team. Not always the fans favourite, often his ideas were misunderstood, bu a superb player to watch bringing great ball playing to the team. Now if youre going to pretent to be a Liverpool fan or 'expert' for goodness sake spell the great mans name Bill SHANKLY not SHANKLEY - yes it matters show respect.
