I'm an ex-competitive ballroom dancer. Apart from the technical aspects which I haven't really updated for years since my last competition, I really love this couple and enjoy watching their dances, especially their chacha. They're very refreshing to watch among all the couples who prefer the athleticism approach in ballroom dancing these days. Great musicality, very well balanced masculinity - feminity, good chemistry between them and cheeky expressions, not exaggerated, like a perfectly marinated meal, no more no less, just the right amount of spices. I understand why people feel their dancing is "dated". They reminded me of the couples during the mid 2000s to late 2000s. For me that was the golden age of ballroom dancing. There was a good balance between the art of dancing and athleticism. Dancers these days focus on moving faster, doing bigger, more powerful steps... which may look impressive, yet sometimes I feel like there was no "connection" among the couple, just like two individuals doing kung-fu fighting!

I agree with you. A lot of the dancers don't even look at each other. They like solo dancers doing their thing dancing together, if that makes sense. 💃 🕺

Both are rhythmic, and elegant. I particularly like that the lead maintains masculinity and isn't excessively expressive with rounded, curvy movements. ...good mix of fluidity and stocato.

Imagine not liking these two? How? They are so effortless, rhythmical and elegant. Petar looks so strong. Zia looks graceful. Also, what an outfit! This dress makes her legs look long and shows them off really well. He just looks stunning as always.

I don’t like them here despite all the good qualities they possess. Their dancing has a heavily dated feel to me, and I see them more as the past rather than the future of Latin-American dancing

@@ficklefialka309 I'm kinda surprised about the "heavily dated" evaluation. I think they deliver a fairly balanced combination of more classical and more modern approaches to latin dancing. Their dancing looks mature considering that they're amateurs. They produce a really cheeky cha cha - as it should be, I suppose :) Well, they could certainly spice it up at least a little, but that's a matter of taste.

@@ficklefialka309 I agree. Their bodies are not flexible enough, they are dancing mostly with their legs, and I can't say their footwook is something exceptional either.

@Мария Фомина yep. They also look very limited even in terms of floor coverage. They seem to work hard but don’t really get anywhere. I think, unlike some other top amateur couples, they have digressed over the Covid break

@@ficklefialka309 Well, his movements seems fluid and natural, she seems to be more rigid. They are dancing within the available limited free space without bumping into other couples. Isn't this part of a floor craft? Overall, he seems to keep his cha cha movements compact. But isn't this a part of a more classical cha cha style? But, yes all of this is in contrast to how Kirill is dancing, where movements are more exaggerated. I like both of these dancers, though being nearly opposite in their approach to dancing. Peter's dancing seems very effortless and relaxed (even to the point that he is being kinda lazy), meanwhile Kirill's very expressive body mechanics sometimes conveys a sense of effort, which is not everyone's cup of tea.

Don't like this couple, Zia seems to be not so smooth and natural like other dancers on this level, she seems to be stiff and not sure of her moves and situation in some moments

Yes, she doesn't look confident at all. She looks she overly rehearsed all her moves. The move that she points the floor at 0.32 is actually a part of choreography, not an improvised move.

When Sasha and Klemen move to professionals, I dont see this "couple" as the next amateur champions. There are better "couples" in the amateurs. Imo the woman is not fluid and smooth but very rigid on the contrary. I still dont like her styling of the arms overall...but obviously respect others' positive opinions. They see something else that I still cannot

I’m not in any way an expert but I thought their legs were good. She looks at the floor a lot though (nerves?) also they were a bit trapped in the corner? Also the music was very bad which is a shame on the competition hosts.

The routine is good but the music sucks. I don't know what to say but how come you're playing a song like that during competition. It's so bad and boring....
