A letter sent yesterday to The Courier Mail. In the 1980's greenies had integrity. They blockaded and prevented the building of the Franklin dam in Tassie. They perched in trees in North Queensland's Daintree and chained themselves to concrete blocks buried up to 6' in the ground to stymie bulldozers making a single vehicle track through the rainforest. No chaining themselves today to concrete blocks buried in the ground in order to prevent the destruction of our precious rainforest. They shout, "Sustainability. Renewables," but the reality is somewhat different as 60m paths are sliced off the top of our rainforest to make way for wind turbines up to 300m tall at the blade tip. Over 3700km of roads have thus far been pushed through the Great Dividing Range to accommodate the monstrosities. It's a no-brainer. No rainforest, no rain.

I don't get nearly enough chances to hear Mr. Dutton speak in this way, and that's a great pity because he's excellent. I do like that he makes his point in a way that we can all understand and appreciate. Mr. Dutton's style of communication and the PM complete 'dog's breakfast, stuff everywhere' style is there for all to see, hear and compare. For example with Albo & The Voice, I found it impossible to believe just how often he spoke of the statement for The Voice being a single page, when it was clear that it was much larger than that. Albo was adamant in interview after interview, that he knew all about it, even though he hadn't read it. Even Indigenous elders were very clear it was far greater than one page & definitely involved reparations, sometimes referred to as pay the rent. Yet stubborn Albo pushed ahead with this costly exercise that was a complete waste of time & money. Contrasting Albo with Mr. Dutton and it's clear that we have a complete lemon for a Prime Minister.

I agree as I can't receive SkyNews in Western Australia. Yes, I could get a Foxtel dish but as a Disability Pensioner, the government doesn't provide enough to live on. Many months I have to make a decision as to what to buy and leave for another time and there's no chance to save even $5 a fortnight.
