I'll be checking that link.This an important issue. My elderly Aunt stayed in a home for respite once so my Mom her sister had a break.I was horrified when I visited to see that the supper prepared had sausages. My Aunt for religious reasons did not consume pork products and it was in her Care plan. When I asked whether the sausages contained pork I was ignored and told visiting was not allowed at meal times. I reported this to Mom and Aunt never returned to any Care Home. I have been vegetarian for over 30 years and I hope I never need a Care home. It's not just the issue of attention to care plans but ignorance about a vegetarian diet. I was tired of being asked if I ate fish when I said I was vegetarian when having a meal with another relative at her Care Home.

So wierd how my friend and I were talking about this a few hours ago. I've recently become a huge admirer of Peter. A massive crush. I like kind men who live animals. I thought I had him as a friend on Facebook but it was a con.

Really there needs to be a church of ethics like the Quakers, that people can invest in and retire to when old and have visiting animals that are free of fleas. Quakers are often athies5s but they believe in the kindness that God is.

I wish the vast amount the old people pay for their care, went to 5he right amount of care staff and maintenence of the homes and running them, instead of it all going to the fat cats who do (what exactly)? I couldn't turn the tap on the basin to wash my own hands. What do they think a 90 year old should do, never wash hands. My friend had a stroke. She did not vomplain much. Not that she didn't have much cause to. She was in a care home . She told us the vood wasn't that great. Then on the next visit she and I were aware of another old lady with a bowl if very slop. She was asking, "excuse me please can anyone tell me what this is supposed to ve?" She was slopping it about as iv playing in a sandpit. She asked me. I'm sorry I said, "I don't work here I'm just visiting. " "oh sorry love," she replied. She asked the canten staff again. "It's your dinner Joyce," they said. "Oh my God, you've gotta be bloody joking haven't you," she said with shock. Poor Joyce. She saidvit how it is. We all laughed because ov Joyce's comic timing, but I wonder if the food is so horrid to encourage thebold to give up the ghost.
