When the world gets evil and cynical about music, I like to watch videos like this to remember what it's all about. Thank you Pete!

Peter's technique is so ridiculously good.

Back when drummers sat at milk crate height and played jazz on birch Recording Customs with clear heads.

One of the best to ever do it. Thematic, melodic, beautiful accompanying AND soloing.

Got that exact set used locally for a steal, what a great video, Erskine and Jimbo are two drummers I could watch for days. So glad I finally started playing! Thanks for the awesome upload

Zildjian are definitely my favorite cymbals, although I have a mix of others for special effects.

Sublime solo. He was to me, especially at this point in his career, a massive inspiration. Still is! Nice ‘European’ trio. Wish I’d caught them.

Awesome, I bought the 'time keeping is everything' video back in the 90's. He was decent the ole Pete Forskin 😂

Ask Carl Palmer he doesn't care. As for Neil Peart he paid the guy to do just that

amazing drum solo but, I do not understand the a**hole cameraman focusing on Pete's face and missing the big picture!

Camera person definitely not a musician. An artist yes- a musician - not a chance.

What most people watch (without even listening) during a drum solo. Facial expressions and hands to some degree. The actual musical details, complexity, and ideas of the solo are lost on 99.8% of the audience. For drummers a split screen from the side, overhead, and feet would be great.

Is this a "free" solo or in the usualyy eight bars or twelve?
