As his proud daughter, it saddens me to see him this way in his final years of his life battling dementia as I had the great fortune to be raised by a brilliant man, father and actor who brought love and joy into the homes of so many families around the world. I came here to watch this because I saw his name on an Alzheimers Website. He is an icon in our house and we still watch him regularly on Netflix. I was saddened to see he had been afflicted with dementia and watching this clip I can see his struggle to hold on, it's the same look I see in my dad's eyes, a once brilliant person battling disease bravely.

I was a little late when I found out who your father was. I've never found an actor so entertaining and likable as him. It pains me when I miss the chance to meet legends because they've gone before I could even say hello. If I could speak to him right now, I would say to him "Thank you for the work you've done. I grew up with Columbo and always admired your father's extraordinary talent. He was a theatrical genius who created one of the most iconic characters in the history of television, and my personal favorite. I miss him, as we all do. But at least his brilliant work has been preserved as a reminder of both his gifts and of a lost age when actors were true artists.

Many years ago in the middle of a sculpting class I was taking at the Associates In Art in Sherman Oaks, I looked up from what I was doing to see your dad standing in the doorway. He was just looking in, smiling and checking out what was going on. He was there for just a moment, then he left. It made my day! Beautiful friends, family, co-workers and fans! I use to be a CNA for one Alzheimer's patient at a time. The patients I had hardly ever to never visited and it was heartbreaking. Mr. Peter clearly was surrounded by loved ones. As for the paparazzi that had their own agendas should have been more understanding of what he and the family has went through. As for the family and friends you are lifted up in prayers. My heart forever grieves over the patients I have lost and especially my first Ms. Ruby. Ms. Ruby passes away in December 2011. We use to watch Columbo together. Little did I know that Falk family was going through something similar. 2016 is when I got out of the medical field for many reasons. The new normal, is there ever a such thing once you lose a loved one?! If it wasn't for God's grace and mercy of Jesus Christ I wouldn't have be able to continue to move forward. Once again my heart and prayers for everyone. Just know you all are well loved 💟

Peter Falk was a fantastic actor! I loved the rain coat. He would say , “ just one more thing” . Then he would start asking questions. He solved a lot of cases. Peter Falk was a brilliant man. He played his acting lines to perfection !

A truly great actor. A favorite of our entire family, Mr. Falk as Columbo makes the day end well... as if all will be right with the world as Columbo catches the wrongdoer and puts him or her where he belongs. My mom, my beloved late brother and I used to watch him on Columbo religiously for many years. I've only just got into 'Columbo'. Chanced on an episode on television and just had to see how it ended. I've now bought the complete series on DVD. Looking at this clip, he's such a lovely man and has time for all his fans. It's a terrible thing to lose one of your parents, but it must be comforting to know that he brought joy to millions. Larry isn't ignored back east! He is a rock star at Chiller and other such shows and we made him honorary Mayor of Fort Lee, NJ at our Arts & Music Fest this past June and we had a huge crowd around him greeting our "Mayor!" Also Larry was with us this past New Year's Eve to be formally honored for his great career and he will be out in Hollywood performing in September and in Palm Springs same time to unveil his star - he is a great guy! And Peter Falk was in our town shooting a film in 2004 and what a great guy he was in person! Two old school gents...RIP Peter!

Peter Falk was one fo my favorite actors. My sister used to make fun of me, because I loved Columbo, but I knew this man was so much more than just Columbo. He could take any character and breathe life into him. I can see why he was so well respected. I saw an old interview, where the woman asked him how he balanced being loved and respected, with also, at times, having to threaten to walk off the set, if he didn't think the show was at its' best. Peter said that networks don't see any difference between their shows. They tend to treat every show the same, as long as the network makes money. He continued by saying, the only way to stick out from the crowd of other shows, is to fight for your show. At times, Peter had to take a firm stance, in order to be heard. I loved that about him. It showed an incredible work ethic. This man gave his all, to any project, and it showed. I remember when I heard he was sick. It was a sad day for me, not just because his health was failing, but because my father died from dimentia related illness, and I knew his family was in for a heartache. It's particularly hard to watch a parent disappear before your eyes. Thank you, Mr. Falk, for all the hours of entertainment.
