The tee peg for ball first contact works. The visual is perfect. Years back I recognized that the center of my divots were the low points of my swing and from that figured out that a change in where I focused was enough to give me better low point control. I pick a spot after the ball with irons and fairways and a spot before the ball with my driver. And that process extends to help me create the swing path I want as well. So the amount of draw or fade is easier to control too.

Compressing irons drill on the range. What about using the rubber tee in front of the ball? You’ll know if you’ve hit it

I enjoy watching Pete and his humour, sometimes I pick things to try. Though the root causes for poor swings are the same, as demonstrated by the various teachers and coaches, the paths and solutions to solve or at least reduce the number of mishits vary according to the method advised. I wouldn't go so far as to criticise the teacher, I would just say that the advice does not work for me. I believe there must be a match between the level of the student and the type of teacher. Some teachers are also good for beginners, many only for advanced ones. I don't blame the KZbin teacher, he/she does not see me swinging or pitching. I just watch and move on to another if the method or advice doesn't suit me.

Great video, Peter I especially like the feeling of “hitting the tee peg”, BUT … I think the biggest problem most of us mere mortals (casual golfers) have is: WE SWING TOO HARD! I noticed when you demonstrated “hitting the tee peg”, you had a very relaxed, almost casual swing at the ball/peg. Great balance 👍🏻 But, with so much emphasis on distance, clubhead speed, striving for 300 yard drives that we see on TV, etc. most of us SWING TOO HARD 😩 which causes most all of our swing flaws. ☝🏻Please do a video of swinging in balance, and how NOT to swing too hard 🙏🏻

If your topping fairway woods. Move the ball slightly back in your stance. You should NEVER have on your heel. Poor advice here.

Im sorry but hitting off a mat and a rubber tee won't help anyone. You dont know if your technique is any good if your not interacting with the ground. Its the most stupid advice ever

@@hadesignite lol I haven't liked it you fucking idiot. And he isn't a pro. Anyone can do PGA badges or call themselves a coach. He's giving incorrect advice. If you can't see that you're probably a shit golfer
