Yeah that's possible when you have the ability to have some of the best musicians of their respective craft on the planet. Tony Levin is a God among men when it comes to bass, the man is a living legend. And that's just the bassist!!! Peter Gabriel is responsible for crafting the modern show with the level of entertainment he brings, people been copying him since the 70's, and the man that created it is still the king

The most infectious part of this is how much fun they're all having on stage. His concerts are incredibly theatrical and have a resonant power that is so rare. What a gem of an artist. And that's all beside the incredible musicianship and compositions. Incredible.

I never had the privilege of seeing him live but based on what I know, I totally agree with what you are saying. What I really do not understand is why more people do not recognize Peter as a first-tier songwriter/performer of his generation. I would rather see or listen to him than Springsteen or Phil Collins.

The deal on Gabriel's live recordings is that he does take the live masters back and "correct" them . Most artist do. Gabriel has the class enough to own up to it. Ifv you look at the packaging..it says "based onn a love performance". With that said, Gabriel live will bring you closer to God.
