Peter Green is the guy playing the sea foam green fender stratocaster wearing the red wool cap. If you haven't listen to the early Fleetwood Mac when they were a British blues band before the girls(Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie & Lindsey Buckingham) you are missing out on something very special my friends
@paulm11628 жыл бұрын
Christine McVie was married to john hence the Mac in fleetwood so not quite sure about that, still the best selling/popular album was and is dreams. I prefer the other playing even when doing albatross he plays all the crucial bits not peter green, just my opinion

peter greens fleetwood mac were my favourite blues band, at the time (apart from john mayalls bluesbreakers) they were were only band at the time that played REAL blues, im 70 years old now and my musical tastes have never changed, i no longer play in bands but still keep my hand in playing my gibson in my conservatory, (to the dissatisfaction of my wife lol)
@johndimarzio89665 жыл бұрын

I saw the Peter Green Splinter Group in Basidon in 1996. I knew it wasn't going to be the same as the 60's but this Nigel bloke helped PG out brilliantly. We met the whole band at the bar after. I asked Green if he knew any music theory, and he said 'I'm just learning that now'. Cozy Powell was also on drums. One of the best gigs I've ever been to, and I've been to thousands.

@tiggertoo19627 жыл бұрын
Was actually Little Willie's brother Mertis Jr who wrote it - Willie was just the first to record it. Anyway, that's just an aside to set the record straight. The reason I'm commenting at all is just to let the (at this point in time) 40 "dislikers" know that they are the real losers here. Pete Green may have fallen, but he has at least been up there in a position to fall from. I'd wager not a single one of these guys (or gals) has as much feeling in their whole body, as Pete still has in the hairs up his left nostril. Don't ever get even weaker than you are, guys, cos the wolves will be waiting to get you.

Peter Green was the founding member of Fleetwood Mac after leaving John Mayall's blues band where he filled in after Eric Clapton left. Peter Green with Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, & Jeremy Spencer started the band Peter Green's Fleetwood Mack. After one too many LSD trips Peter started showing signs of mental illness & schizophrenia & left the band. After some personnel changes in the band resulted in the current lineup. The song Dreams was a single off the one of the best selling pop albums of all time-Rumours. The best selling pop album of all time is The Eagles greatest hits volume one. Some other albums that sold more than Rumours are- Micheal Jackson Thriller, Led Zep 4, ACDC back in black, Pink Floyd dark side of the moon. Peter Green is ranked one of the best guitarist of all time but he is a shell of himself these days because of drug abuse/mental illness. Just say no to drugs kids!
